Job Role (title):Manager – Assembly (URE)

Job description
This position will have the key responsibility in execution of the best practices in manufacturing process with plan by:
Improving the efficiency and capacity of existing production lines.
Supporting the Customization of Existing and supporting in introduction of new products.
Ensuring Safe & Secured work Environment within the plant.
Maintaining or improving the quality of products in line with determined standards.
Lead Time, Implementation of Flow on Lean principles, Delivery accuracy, Kanban, Inventory and cost reduction should be the key focus.
Plan, monitor and control product manufacturing / assembly as per the customer requirement given by Marketing.
Coordination with HPM for local and export market for delivery requirements of the customers.
Guide and motivate people to work towards efficiency and productivity of the highest capacity.
Follow People Management and Leadership Development Process.
Ensure timely execution of new product development projects in co-ordination with Engineering and Sourcing.
Strive for cost reduction, continuous quality improvement, good housekeeping and maintenance of QA systems.
Collate, Analyze and present inputs for feedback / reporting to Division
Should lead DEI in URE division .
Actively Participate and Support Operations Manager in ensuring Sustainable Productivity by:
Building a Strong Organization by Selecting, training, motivating and retaining a team of competent and committed people by demonstrating effective leadership.
Ensuring adherence to "The Way we do things" guidelines & "Business Code of Practices" in all business activities for increasing Operational Efficiency.
Cultivating & Promoting Epiroc Culture in line with our Values & Beliefs
Assuring establishment of quality-oriented efficient flow process in the manufacturing operations.
Establishing flow and maintain control of assembly stock, work in process, and finished goods inventories to maximize turnovers and minimize investment in this asset account.
Ensuring & promoting safe working environment in line with OHSAS Standards.
Developing ISO quality and environmental management systems. Evaluating and improving systems & procedures as needed in line with TQM, 6 Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban etc.
Qualification and Experience: -
Successful background with minimum 18 to 21 years experience in leading a manufacturing company – including an experience in working with team as production, engineering, sourcing and quality.
Preferably you have made improvements using lean methods.
Proven leadership skills.
Degree in Engineering. Post-Graduation in Management will be an added advantage.
Very good knowledge in using computer tools for analyses (e.g. excel). Good knowledge in other programs (e.g. word, PowerPoint, access).
