Project Role : Database Administrator
Project Role Description : Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

Summary: As SAP S4 HANA basis consultant, you will administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. You will perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Your typical day will involve installing database management systems (DBMS) and providing input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of databases and contribute to the overall success of the organization. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Ensure efficient administration, development, testing, and demonstration of databases. - Design, implement, and maintain new databases. - Perform backup/recovery and configuration management. - Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP BASIS Administration. - Strong understanding of database administration principles and best practices. - Experienced in SAP S4 HANA database installations, BW on HANA installation and implementation. Integration of ECC with HANA DB using the SLT Replication servers or services. - Experienced in system refresh and Homogeneous system copies. - Installation and configuration of SAP solution manager CHARMS. - Knowledge and in- depth knowledge on SAP Unicode Conversion - SAPROUTER configuration - Installation and configuration of SAP Netweaver gateway - Strong hand on experience in SAP DB administration, table space management and backup recovery - extensive experience on all aspects of SAP Basis administration including client copy /Export/Import, system copy /Refresh, support packs, Kernel upgrades, OSDB migrations, Add- on installations, applying OSS notes, Spool administration, Background jobs, workload analysis, SAP workplace monitoring using CCMS, SAP BTP FIORI integrations, Backup/Recovery. System monitoring or maintenance and performance Tuning/Analysis Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP BASIS Administration. - This position is based at our Chennai office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
