Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Conversational AI Engineer to join our Global Risk and Compliance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NLP and machine learning, and hands-on experience with open source frameworks. You will be responsible for building and deploying  AI models and systems that deliver outstanding customer experiences, as well as internal solutions for employees and teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and deploy AI models using open source frameworks
• Implement NLP techniques such as intent recognition, entity extraction, and response generation
• Design and develop conversational AI workflows and integrate with existing systems and platforms, including American Express proprietary systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer and employee needs, and improve conversational AI solutions
• Stay up-to-date with the latest NLP and AI trends and technologies
• Manage and monitor AI models in production using MLOps best practices and ensure high availability and reliability of conversational AI solutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field
• Strong experience in NLP and machine learning
• Hands-on experience with open source conversational AI frameworks such as Rasa
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Experience with MLOps and deploying models in production
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment
