Project Management Intern
Overview: As a Project Management intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced project managers and gain hands-on experience in the field of project management within the commercial real estate (CRE) industry. You will support the team in planning, executing, and controlling various projects, ensuring project objectives are achieved within defined timelines and budgets.
Responsibilities:Project Planning and Coordination:
Assist in creating project schedules, work breakdown structures, and resource allocation plans.
Collaborate with team members to identify and define project deliverables, milestones, and dependencies.
Coordinate project logistics, including procurement, vendor management, and contract administration.
Project Execution and Monitoring:
Support project managers in ensuring project tasks are executed according to the project plan.
Assist in tracking project progress and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
Participate in project meetings to document and distribute meeting minutes and action items.
Budget Management:
Assist in budget planning and monitoring project expenses.
Review and analyze project cost reports, providing insights and recommendations to support cost control efforts.
Assist in reviewing vendor invoices and ensuring accurate and timely processing.
Risk Management:
Help identify potential project risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Support the project team in monitoring and controlling risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist in maintaining project documentation, including risk registers and issue logs.
Stakeholder Communication:
Collaborate with project managers to prepare project-related communications for internal and external stakeholders.
Support the development and distribution of project status reports, presentations, and other project-related documentation.
Assist in facilitating effective communication channels between project team members and stakeholders.
Requirements:
Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
