EY – GDS – Consulting – Finance

As part of our EY - Finance Consulting Team, you will help clients develop their Performance Improvement initiatives and identify potential opportunities for performance improvements drive them. This includes techno-functional role conducting finance processes assessments, deep diving and analysing pain areas and coming up with solutions. The client base spans across industries and countries.

The opportunity

We are seeking proactive and enthusiastic Finance Interns to join our dynamic finance consulting team. As a Finance Intern, you will get hands-on experience in financial analyses, system implementations, and process improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining extensive industry exposure and improving their abilities in a practical, high-paced environment.

Your key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analyses, supporting client projects and engagements.
• Participate in the assessment of the client's financial processes and systems, under the direction of more senior team members.
• Work closely with team members in the planning and execution of financial audits.
• Help maintain the firm's financial records and documentation ensuring it is up to date and accurate.
• Observe and assist in various financial operations, learning practical skills in financial management.
• Contribute to the identification of potential improvements in financial processes and systems.
• Adhere to all relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Support and learn from other team members, actively engaging in knowledge sharing practices.

To qualify for the role, you must have,

• Currently pursuing a minimum of 1-3 years of experience along with Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of basic financial concepts and principles.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively work in a team-oriented environment.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and not afraid to ask questions.
