Job Description

The Market Researcher for the Global Marketing Service Organization is responsible to identify & track key competitor updates, macro-economic trends, market size / share / growth related data on regular basis for all platforms across targeted industries & regions. The role will entail collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing and Product development teams and involve supporting the C-suite stakeholders.

This position is part of the Global Marketing Service organization and will be based of Mumbai, India.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Conduct secondary research to identify and collect appropriate customer, competitor, market, and economic, financial and/or operational data.
  • Perform financial, statistical, and qualitative data analysis of markets and competitors.
  • Perform valid and reliable market sizing, pricing, penetration, SWOT analysis etc.
  • Monitor and forecast marketing and sales trends. Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations.
  • Translate data into executable and effective market intelligence reports.
  • Creates and updates comprehensive industry, competitor and customer models including, but not limited to, market share, growth projections and trends, and market forces.
  • Understand business objectives and use relevant research tools & methodologies to discover relevant information from targeted region, sector or market etc.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required by the business need.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Professional Experience

  • 2 years of pharma healthcare secondary/primary market research experience; data research/mining & analysis is preferred
  • Ability to conduct secondary research & primary research
  • Familiarity with Research Databases like Factiva, Hoovers et.
  • Strong English oral communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Access required
  • Ability to work independently, scope projects and drive them to conclusion

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy/Life Science related field

Language

  • English

Travel (required estimated % of time)

  • No travel
