Department Overview
The Distribution business comprises of Fidelity’s Institutional and Wholesale Business Units in the UK, EMEA and Asia Pac and is a strategic area targeted for growth over the coming years. The Technology Department has been acting as the key enablers for the business in achieving their goals. The Institutional portfolio of projects will include a large collection of strategic initiatives as well as tactical ones to support day-to-day operations and strengthen the environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work on Java applications being used in Distribution technology teams
  • Work on technical design of the application
  • Work and develop on Java/FIL PaaS/AWS applications
  • Interact with architects and leads to understand the technical direction
  • Communicate with business analysts to discuss various business requirements
  • Understanding of CI-CD pipeline and release & deployment tools/frameworks
  • Develop, maintain and troubleshoot issues; and take a leading role in the ongoing support and enhancements of the applications
  • Help in maintaining the standards, procedures and best practices in the team. Also help his team to follow these standards.
Experience and Qualification:
  • B.E./ B.Tech. or M.C.A. in Computer Science from a reputed University
  • Full Stack Developer with total 5 to 8 years of experience with application development in Java and related frameworks
Technical Skills - essential
  • Java 8, Spring MVC, SpringBoot, Microservices, restful API
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with Webservices & REST
  • Hibernate ( or JPA or iBatis)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with CSS, Java Script/jQuery or any other Java Script library preferably Angular JS
  • Experience with DevOps (Jenkins, Git, Sonar)
  • Minimum 1 year experience with cloud – any one of Cloudfoundary/AWS/Azure
  • UML, Design patterns
Technical skills – nice to have:
  • SQL, PL-SQL
