Senior System Administrator is responsible for managing O365 and Network, your role involves overseeing and maintaining the entire Microsoft Office 365 (O365) environment and the network infrastructure of the organization. Here's a breakdown of your potential job description:
 
1. O365 Administration:
  • Manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions within the O365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and other associated services.
  • Configure and troubleshoot O365 services to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Implement security measures such as multi-factor authentication, data loss prevention, and email encryption to protect sensitive information.
  • Monitor O365 usage and perform regular audits to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other teams to integrate O365 services with existing systems and applications.
2. Network Management:
  • Design, implement, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN connections.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure reliable and secure access to resources.
  • Implement network security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs to safeguard against cyber threats.
  • Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
  • Work closely with vendors and service providers to procure network equipment and services as needed.
3. Documentation and Training:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of O365 configurations, network diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures for reference and training purposes.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on O365 applications and network best practices to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and industry trends related to O365 and network management, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization.
4. Collaboration and Teamwork:
  • Collaborate with other IT teams, such as security, infrastructure, and helpdesk, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of efforts.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to system upgrades, migrations, and expansions, providing expertise in O365 and network requirements.
  • Act as a mentor and subject matter expert for junior system administrators, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster professional development within the team.
