Job Title: Siebel Tester Introduction: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Siebel Tester to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Siebel Development, with 3 to 6 years of hands-on testing experience. As a Siebel Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our Siebel applications by designing and executing test plans, reporting bugs, and collaborating closely with the development team to resolve issues. This role is critical in maintaining the high standards of performance and reliability that our clients expect from our products. Main Responsibilities and Duties:
Collaborate with the Siebel development team to understand the requirements and functionalities of Siebel applications.
Create and maintain comprehensive test plans to ensure complete and effective testing coverage.
Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results to ensure the Siebel applications meet business needs and performance goals.
Identify, record, document, and track bugs through to resolution, working closely with developers to prioritize and resolve issues.
Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential issues.
Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
Stay current with new testing tools and test strategies, and improve testing processes through innovation and efficiency enhancements.
Communicate testing progress, results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders.
Support user acceptance testing (UAT) as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
3 to 6 years of experience in a Siebel testing role, with a deep understanding of Siebel Development.
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Familiarity with bug tracking tools and QA software (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
Desired or Preferred Skills:
Experience with automated testing tools is highly desirable.
Knowledge of Oracle Siebel CRM functionalities and architecture.
Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is advantageous.
Tools Required:
Proficiency with Siebel tools and the Siebel Test Automation framework.
Familiarity with Oracle databases and SQL.
Knowledge of test management software (e.g., HP ALM, TestRail).
Experience with version control systems (e.g., GIT, SVN).
Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins).
